What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy refers to the treatment in which the specialized Physiotherapist applies a number of natural means (electricity, water, light, etc.) and natural ways (eg massage) in order to restore human health.
What do I need to have with me?
You should have the medical diagnosis with you as well as the results of tests you may have done such as CT or MRI scans. It is also good to have comfortable clothes with you, e.g. a t-shirt and shorts, or a tracksuit.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no set number for everyone. Each patient has a different problem and all sessions should be discussed and decided together with the supervising physician and the physiotherapist.
How do I know the treatment is working?
You should feel some improvement first. There are also objective measurement criteria used by physiotherapists to determine if the results of their clinical practice are working.
What should I expect from my first visit?
After receiving a complete history and studying any tests, we will proceed to the clinical examination in order to determine the cause of the problem. We will then agree on a treatment plan that is appropriate and specific to your case.
