The latest scientific data in the field of physiotherapy, led to the creation of the Clinical Pilates method.

It is about the evolution and differentiation of the traditional Pilates method according to the modern knowledge around the biomechanical analysis and stabilization of the spine.

It is mainly applied by certified physiotherapists as it requires knowledge of biomechanics and pathology of the spine and joints.

Target Audience
Clinical Pilates is open to all people of all ages and fitness levels, even when other exercise programs are not available.

The therapist adapts the exercise program to the specifics and abilities of the practitioner, taking into account all the components of the nature of his problem.

In addition it helps the practitioner to understand how his body works and consequently how he can manage it in the whole range of his activities.

For this reason, clinical Pilates is performed only in small groups and presupposes the excellent cooperation between therapist and patient.

Που Αποσκοπεί η Θεραπευτική Εκδοχή του Pilates;

Mat ή Reformer;
As in Classical Pilates, so in Clinical Pilates, the exercise can be done either on mattresses on the ground or in the special Pilates reformer exercise bed. The results are equally spectacular, however the reformer may be superior for 3 reasons:

  1. Greater variety of exercises
  2. Better grading and development of resistance and difficulty of exercise
  3. It is basically done in personal sessions where it is even more personalized to the patient.

Of course, all you have to do is start, get in touch with the exercise and your body, do the exercises you need, have the right technique and feel the well-being that pilates offers.
